got the rockin' pneumonia and the boogie woogie flu
Well, the new edition of Viral Marketing is finally out. Whew! Every time we do one, I swear never again. It's such a huge amount of work to track all the new techniques coming into use. I have to thank Jeremy and the whole team for the monster effort it took to get this one between covers. At $129, I know it's expensive (it's also 960 pages), but if you're engaged in online marketing of any sort, this is a must-have reference.
Hi! I'm Kat and this is my little corner
of Web 2.0 where we can chat about some
of the things I'm so excited about. Like
video blogging, podcasting, social
media, Second Life, YouTube, lipstick,
wikis, RSS, citizen journalism, customer
evangelism, shoes, MoBlogging,
photocasting, tagging, folksonomy,
widgets, Digg, iPod, cute suits, social
bookmarking, massively multiplayer
online games, indymedia, hairstyles,
javascript and Ajax.

Perhaps it's just me, but I wonder what the purpose is for continuing this "faux blog"? Initially, it was a witty, satirical statement about Web 2.0 and the post "dot bomb" life of twenty-somethings in the Bay area. However, now that the show has been "outed" (apologies to Jeremy), there doesn't seem to be any ongoing purpose. At least "lonelygirl15" had an unfulfilled storyline to play out, but that doesn't seem to be the case here. The only reason to go on that I can see would be to serve as a writing exercise for an out-of-work writer run dry, living off of modest but comfortable residuals... oh...
Never mind.
Perhaps it is just you, Anonymous. And what's your excuse? Silly boy.
